In an interview on Asia Hoy, Vanessa Lago, Founder and Executive Director of Masarat Foundation, discusses the realities facing Yemen today, the origins of the Foundation, and its work supporting women and girls through education and humanitarian programs.

The magazine Atalayar featured Hadramaut: Persistence and Memory, a photographic exhibition presented by Casa Árabe Madrid, featuring photographs by Vanessa Lago, the exhibition explores the region’s history, cultural identity, architecture, and resilience amid conflict. Organized by Masarat Foundation, the initiative promotes greater understanding of Yemen’s rich cultural heritage while encouraging reflection on its preservation and future.

The Yemeni Minister of Culture and Tourism, Mutia’ Dammaj, inaugurated Yemen: Journey to the Gates of Arabia, a cultural week held in Madrid and organized by Masarat Foundation in partnership with Casa Árabe and the Embassy of Yemen in Spain. The event promoted Yemen’s rich cultural heritage and strengthened bilateral ties between Yemen and Spain, while featuring the opening of Hadramaut: Persistence and Memory, a photographic exhibition by Vanessa Lago, Founder and Executive Director of Masarat Foundation.
